The 2016 Honda CR-V goes special with the Special Edition
The Honda CR-V is hardly anything special, even for the librarians and grandmothers who frequently flock to them as their choice for daily drivers and despite being accolades as one of the best compact SUVs money can buy. Regardless, it’s still just a CR-V.
But perhaps, Honda thought they could make it at least a little special with the new Special Edition trim for the 2016 CR-V. So, what’s so special?
Well, obviously, it starts life as a standard 2016 Honda CR-V and then, it’s given some Special Edition (SE) trim badging to remind you that you didn’t just pickup a normal, plebeian CR-V. Also reminding you is a set of larger 17-inch bespoke wheels with a new two-tone finish.
The rear windows get tinted and a security system is made standard, as well as leather and . And…that’s pretty much it.
Under the hood still sits a naturally-aspirated 2.4L four-banger with 185hp and 181 lb-ft of twist, mated to Honda’s latest CVT automatic. Both front-wheel and all-wheel drive are available for the Special Edition CR-V.(egmCarTech)
